The Annual General Meeting was held tonight, in addition to a regular meeting. The AGM had 4 points on the agenda:

• Reports
• Nominations for executive positions
• Elections
• Volunteer Recognition

Neil gave a brief secretary report letting us know about membership numbers. It seems that our current membership is hovering around 70 Tier 2 members at any given time. Some people do not renew, while new members do sign up. This appears to be up slightly from last year (IIRC) - any positive movement in this matter is a Good Thing in my opinion.

Neil also read off the financial report, which was accepted by the members. I don't recall specific numbers right now, but do know that we ended the year with more money than we started with. Even considering the cash we spent on various items. Again, this seems to be a positive movement in cashflow.

The president (er, that would be me) gave a quick review of what CLUG has accomplished in the past year, and hope to accomplish in the near future.

Nominations were then called for, and those who were nominated officially accepted. As it turns out, we had a single person nominated for each of the four positions, even after three calls for nominations. So, we have a new executive by acclimation. Here's the new names:

President: Dave Watkins
Vice President: Szemir Khanji
Secretary: Mike Bougie
Treasurer: Neil Bower

As you can see, Dave and Neil continue from the old executive, with different roles.

Everything will be handed over to the new exec in the next few weeks. But Dave is well aware of what's what, so the transition should be very smooth.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the old exec for their support in the past year, CLUG's members for their support and encouragement as well, and our sponsors and affiliates for helping make CLUG possible. It's been a great year, and I'm looking forward to the next year.
