We didn't have a big topic but had a number of things that we have come across that might be of interest to the group.

Every needed to backup your system whether it is a handful of files or a partition. We have a bunch of tools that will solve this problem. Some are at the system level, others are applications and still others come as a live iso. Both Gustin and Kin have their favourites.

Ever tried to coordinate an event, show your availability or just track your time. Gustin will show you how setup Google Calendar and how to share it.

Every tried to organized your thoughts before putting it to writing, Kin has used an open source tool called Freemind that maybe of interest to students and professionals alike.

Every needed convey to someone how to do something on a computer and words just don't come across as adequate. Kin has used a tool called Wink - it is not open source but it is free.

Our monthly meeting will take place on its regularly scheduled date (first Wed. of the month), July 2nd, 2008.

Doors open at 18:45, and we should wrap up around 21:45. Due to ongoing construction at Devry, the room number is subject to change; but don't worry, its a small building!
