I saw a link to http://dpi.priv.gc.ca/ today that explains some of the
issues around Deep Packet Inspection.

I find this interesting because it lies at the focal point of my
interests in privacy, networking and paranoia :)

I also have some familiarity with what you can do with some of this
equipment.  Very impressive on one side (corporate) and disturbing on
the other (government monitoring).
