Just like Shawn I am gonna stop you here.  Kde 4.1.x is really old and
out of date.  Your comments to the KDE folks are not really relevant
anymore.  What I have a problem with is the Kubuntu people choosing KDE4
exclusively, so that I have no choice to use the 3.5.x branch.  This is
a distro problem and not a problem with the KDE project.

Having said that, KDE 3.5.x is still the default on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS so
that is what I would recommend anyway.
