[clug-talk] Semi-OT: Job Wanted

Hi All,

As part of my "Year Of Change" I have decided to take the bold step of 
leaving my current position in favour of a new position.  Being smart, I 
am still working where I am & won't leave that position until I have a 
new one to go to, but am anxious, motivated & eager to make the change.

My dream, job would be one where I was working in IT Security with a 
focus on computer forensics.  I know that is a pretty narrow focus, but 
I am willing to entertain opportunities that will move me closer to that 
goal.

My current position (4 Years) is as a Systems Administrator where I have 
essentially managed all technology related items, including vendor 
contracts, decision-making, training, transition, etc.  While the office 
is a Windows environment, I was able to help move some open source 
products into our core image on the desktop & to some degree on the server.

I feel like I also had a bit to do with the companies interest in 
looking at an open source database for their web application also. 
While it is unlikely I do still see some potential for those options to 
continue.

I have worked & would be comfortable working in a mixed (Linux, Windows 
Mac) & would like to find something that challenges that word as well. 
As well, I have worked & would like to do more work with developing & 
deploying infrastructure solutions as well.  I am even entertaining 
positions in IT Management as well.

Basically, it is time for a change & I really want to challenge myself 
in the next position I go to & work in a collaborative environment where 
I can be an effective part of a team.   If anyone has any good leads, 
please contact me off-list & I would be truly appreciative.  To those 
that may see this post as annoying, out of place or inappropriate, I do 
apologize.
