They self identify as 'sister companies'.  Very close sisters with billing 
addresses right beside each other and with the same fellow's name showing up 
on the whois information for the various TLDs their name is registered 
under.   (.net, .ca, .com, .org, .biz, possibly others)

Also, my old Canaca VPS setup message in the Acanac support ticket system is 
pretty telling.
