[clug-talk] Need help in choosing a computer

I am looking for a computer. Can someone help me?
I will use the computer for office applications, watching video
and audio. Maybe things like converting video files.
I don't know much about new stuff, so would appreciate
suggestions.

I would consider buying a box or combo.
If I get a screen what do I need to consider in 
an LCD monitor?
Want something with a good size font for reading text.
