I have been coveting one of those new fangle booth displays that is  
compact.  Essentially projection screen (roller blind) mounted upside  
down.  Alternatively I have also seen the ones with a block in the  
center which has 5 holes drilled into it.  One to connect to the base  
and then 4 at angles to each vertice of the rectangular display.  They  
generally use a light rod that has a bit of give and these connect to  
an eyelet on each vertice of the display.

I am looking for something that I can use for the light rod that you  
can attach a flange so it does not slip through the eyelet.  Anybody  
got any ideas for material - I think I have seen them for tenting, but  
not having done any camping I thought someone in the group might know.

BTW, it is for our booth at COSSFest and tentativley another conference.
