Ok...so I have started a couple of threads on trying to integrate Linux, 
Mac &  Windows together, but I think I am putting the cart before the 
horse on some things, so I think I need to simplify my life & take it 
one step at a time.

Essentially I want to turn my network (lab) into something that you 
might see out there in the enterprise world.  I want to utilize this to 
test scenarios or test solutions that I can promote to clients with a 
preference to a FLOSS/Linux solution.

I currently have the following:
* Windows 2003 Server: Using AD & acting as file/print server, file 
storage, DHCP Server, primary DNS auth., etc.
* Windows 2000: Lisa's current desktop.  Basic usage (e-mail, web, 
chatting, etc.)
* Windows XP: My primary machine.  Use for pretty much everything.
* Linux Mint 9: Lisa's new desktop.
* Authentication: Windows auth. against AD domain.  Lisa's comp does 
auth to AD currently using Likewise.
* Profiles: Roaming profiles saved to 2K3 server.
* Netbooks (x2): Running Xandros (Lisa) & Eeebuntu (Mine)
* WiFi Router: Acting as firewall, AP & switch.
* Mac Desktop: Running 10.4.11, but not used right now.

I would like to do the following:
* Linux Server: Likely CentOS auth. to AD & eventually become PDC & 
virtualizing 2K3.  Essentially take over roles of current 2K3 server.
* NAS: Seperate small form factor box with HDD & external drive as 
backup.  This will be data storage point.
* Linux Desktop - Lisa: Save profile to 2K3 first & eventually to NAS.
* Linux Desktop - Me: Save profile to 2K3 first & eventually to NAS. 
Will be either KDE based *buntu or SUSE, with virtualized XP.  Would 
like to use either single profile share or multiple (os specific) with 
syncing of common items (i.e. Tbird/Firefox profiles, etc.)
* Netbooks/Notebooks: Linux based & auth to domain yet function as 
sperate as well & sync back.
* Set up home Intranet or portal (similar to SharePoint) to allow for 
colaboration & remote access to data.
* I am sure there will be other items as things progress.

I will likely be pumping out a few e-mails on this whole process, but 
hopefully on a single component at a time to avoid confusion for anyone. 
  Perhaps there are other out there who are looking to do the same or 
parts of what I am doing & it could benefit them as well.

I would appreciate anyones ideas, suggestions or advice.
