Yup they are all disabled. This was where I looked first.

But the slowness affects the interface as well. So clicking on the
tools or bookmarks drop down menus is also sluggish unless there are no
firewall rules, which is just weird. I have also deleted any and all
"Live Bookmarks", I use a seperate RSS reader (on my blackberry of all
things).
