The email address has nothing to do with my musical interests.  What I
use Linux for is for high quality audio production.  I have a multitrack
audio card that allows me to have a 24 simultaneous audio tracks.

I have a book that is a good intro into Linux, the command line, and
basic scripting.  For a started book is quite good.  I will give you
details when I get home.  Of course I am looking to give my copy away
since I don't really need it anymore.

The default format should be fine.  I loaded Ubuntu on my eeePC so I am
not sure what happens if an unformatted card is inserted.
