I'm assuming you mean the Ubuntu site.  If so, chances are that you want to go 
to this URL -  http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download  That's where I 
eneded up after clicking the download link on the main page.

From there, you have some options.  However, the default options are what you 
would need.  The other options are for if you are running 64bit hardware 
(which the eeepc is not), or want to run a server instead of a desktop.

You need to pick a mirror from the list (aka download location).  I personally 
use the Cogeco one listed under North America (they are out of Toronto I 
think).

Then the Start Download link will get the ball rolling.  And get you the 
latest official version of Ubuntu.  (Which happens to be Hardy Herron at the 
moment).

Hope that helps.  And hope I made the right assumption regarding Ubuntu.. :)
